	The advantage of STA-DOWN(TM) conduit retaining device is a safer, more efficient, less expensive, and less intrusive installation procedure; resulting in a better finished product over all. Cut 1 1/2" throw away, preferrably schedule 40 conduit 1 3/4" shorter than the trench width. Best results occur when pipe cutter is used to cut conduit. Slip CRDs*, one in each end of conduit with "louvers" pointing upwards, evenly push CRD* down on to installed conduit with considerable resistance where CRDs* come into contact with trench bank. "Step down" on center of CRD* conduit and drive a 5" nail or piece of EMT thru appropriate hole in CRD* and into trench bank. With both hands pull up on CRD* to make sure it is sure.
